Part-time Operations Assistant - Remote working (London based) - £25-30k pro rata

This dynamic, innovative food startup brand are seeking their first Operations Executive to join their team on a part-time basis. This is an exciting phase of growth for this business who are looking to expand their existing, loyal customer base whilst raising further investment.

You'll be joining a fast-paced, collaborative environment where all contributions are valued. This role reports directly to the senior leadership team from day one and offers excellent scope for professional development as the company continues to expand.

You will be in charge of looking after the logistics of their direct-to-consumer e-commerce, including optimising existing supply chain as well as the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures.

You'll need to have prior experience in the FMCG operations field and an understanding of general accounting and financial management is also a plus.

Your new role...

  • Support the day-to-day supply chain and operations to ensure smooth processes and the best customer experience:
    • Manage stock inventory
    • Handle forecasting
    • Process customer & retailer orders
    • Coordinate logistics and third parties
    • Respond to customer enquiries
  • Support in automating and streamlining processes
  • Support implementing best practices and creating Standard Operating Procedures
  • Some general administration work and helping out where necessary; such as sampling events
  • Cost reduction projects such as optimising packaging solutions
  • Involvement with day-to-day finance tasks using Xero
  • Work closely with the COO to scale up the supply chain system and along with the founders, help build the fastest growing brand in their sector in the UK.

What you offer...

  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in operations, supply chain, engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in ambient, chilled or frozen food & beverage operations
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent organisation skills and strong team worker
  • Accountable, reliable, responsible, enthusiastic. Dedicated.
  • Experience with coding and Tableau beneficial
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and Xero experience beneficial
