John Lewis recently revealed plans to open a new home store in Horsham, West Sussex. The new store could potentially be opened by 2015. If all goes ahead successfully, the store will be adjacent to the current Waitrose in the new West End development, Horsham.
John Lewis plans to offer 125 new jobs to locals, in both full and part time positions. Waitrose will also have new job opportunities available, opening a further 50 jobs with the company. The John Lewis Partnership will in total be creating a further 175 new jobs in Horsham.
Plans for the new Horsham home store are part of the company’s overall investment initiatives over the next few years. The Horsham branch will be the company’s third John Lewis at home and Waitrose combined venture, and will see The John Lewis Partnership become a major part of the local community in Horsham.
The people of Horsham are pleased at plans to open the new home store, as it will provide hundreds of new jobs for locals. John Lewis is a well-known brand to work for and is respected for it’s excellent working conditions and employee benefits.
Further details will be released later in 2014, but for now it looks like Horsham has a bright future ahead.
