Recent reports suggest hundreds fewer people are claiming Jobseekers in the Horsham area. The levels of Jobseekers have dropped, and Horsham has one of the lowest unemployment rates across the whole of Sussex. In the region, there has been a general unemployment drop with more than 3000 fewer people receiving Jobseekers benefits. This is excellent news for Horsham and the area in general.

As a nation, unemployment figures are on the decrease; the number of private sector jobs has increased, however public sector employment levels have dropped. The overall national pay has stayed well below the rate of inflation, meaning everyday families are still struggling with the cost of living.

Although things are looking up for the UK, it seems it will take a little while until the economy is really booming again.
