The Role:
Join us as a Finance Manager on an 18-month fixed-term contract. This is a hybrid role requiring 60% of your time at our head office in Littlehampton and 40% working remotely. You will provide business and financial leadership, enhancing decision-making and achieving short and long-term financial objectives. Manage and develop a team of analysts, ensuring proactive business partnering with commercial and other business teams to maximise sales and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direct management of 2 professional analysts to ensure timely delivery, quality work, focused direction, alignment of strategic directives and career development
- Manage the planning and development of the Annual Operating Plan, Midyear Review and Strategic Plan
- Manage monthly financial reporting process, including sales reporting, monthly management reporting, and operating expense reporting
- Manage the monthly management financial close process
- Support the monthly statutory financial close process
- Model and analyse Return on Investment of strategic initiatives and guide the business in making financial trade-offs and optimally allocating investments. Develop tender pricing models
- Deliver all functional KPIs and Metrics through the Business Intelligence tool
- Deliver financial guidance and support to the commercial teams. Manage sales incentives
- Support key compliance initiatives by developing insightful reports and actionable metrics
- Other Special Projects as assigned by management
- Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
What You Need to Succeed:
- Business Partnering skills essential.
- An experienced analyst with financial forecasting / modelling experience.
- Proven knowledge / experience of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance and information analysis.
- Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications.
- Advanced computer literacy with a strong working knowledge of MS Excel & Access.
- Experienced in using an ERP system.
- Experience with PowerBI software preferred.
Qualifications and Training:
- University degree or equivalent.
- Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent).
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and PowerBI software
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
