New opportunity for a part or qualified level Accountant to join a large established business in central Eastbourne. Despite current uncertain times, this company are in a strong position and confidently able to see through the next couple of months. This role is open to both a 6 month Contractor or permanent hire depending on the preference of the successful candidate. This role does need to be filled for the long term, whether that be through repeat contracts or permanent, and my client can assure candidates with any concerns in that area.

Reporting to a Senior Management Accountant and Financial Reporting Manager, this individual will take the lead role in overseeing both management and financial reporting for key divisions within the business. You will be an intuitive and commercially minded individual who is able to identify and drive process and reporting improvements. You will have an analytical and inquisitive mind, always looking to add value to the business wherever possible.

Candidate requirements:

Part or qualified level ACCA / CIMA / ACA

Preference for practice trained but not absolutely necessary

Sound project management experience and able to identify areas for improvement

Able to use own initiative, self-motivate, and to take responsibility for decisions.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines.

Strong excel skills.
