The post holder assists with the delivery of the Single and Joint Honours route in the Acting for Film programme, leading the delivery and development of film making skills (within the Spotlight modules) and coordinating aspects of the provision as required by the Programme Coordinator.

As an Associate Lecturer you will contribute to key activities of the team including the further development of the programme, teaching and assessments. This position will help coordinate a diverse programme of film production skills to ensure practical teaching meets student’s expectations. Contributing to three key activities of the team, teaching, research and income generation, but its main focus will be teaching. Delivering high quality, effective and interactive teaching using a range of methods including face to face, blended and remote delivery.

Candidates should have an appropriate teaching /or equivalent professional qualifications and experience, with extensive recent relevant teaching / practical experience. It is anticipated that all staff will be engaged with the development of best practice in performance and its assessment, as well as in current developments in pedagogy. The programme adopts a student centric approach to learning and teaching and successful candidates will have experience of delivering high quality, interactive teaching or training activities.

It is essential you have a broad knowledge, experience and skills in film making (and direction) together with the energy, enthusiasm, organisational skills and flexibility which will contribute to enhancing the student experience.

This is a fixed term contract for the 2021/22 academic year for up to 126 hours per semester.
