I am pleased to be partnering with my client, a construction company near Gatwick, to help them in recruiting for a new & exciting Accountant vacancy.

This is a superb full-time and permanent opportunity to join within a role that will only grow and develop in time, but initially the position will be a mix of management and financial accounting, which will include:

• All aspects of monthly management accounts preparation
• Business Partnering with the Director
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• VAT Returns
• Fixed-asset maintenance
• Overseeing AR and AP transactions

The ideal candidate for this role WILL be:

• An active ACCA, CIMA or ACA studier (qualified by experience candidates will also be considered)
• Comfortable in a management accounting role (with strong experience gained within a similar position)
• Experienced in construction finance (candidates that have not worked as an Accountant within the construction sector previously will be ruled out)
• Commercially aware and be able to spot business improvements and liaise with the Director accordingly
