We are currently seeking a School and College Progression and Engagement Officer. The post-holder will be part of the localised National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP) and will be based in Crawley.
The University and the College are committed to a Widening Participation agenda and aim to strengthen partnerships between higher education, further education, schools and training providers. Of particular concern is how to raise both the aspirations and attainments of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds who are currently under-represented in higher education. The role would involve developing partnerships with target schools/colleges to deliver a programme of progressive outreach activities from Year 9 through to Year 13 and undergraduate transition support.
You will demonstrate experience in Widening Participation issues and activities including working with young people and those that work with them. You will have exceptional communication and organisational skills; the ability to network and work as part of a team, engendering co-operation and collaborative working.
The hours are full time and a flexibility in your hours is required as some evening and weekend work will be required.
Informal enquiries are welcomed by Sue Banger, Director of Higher Education, Chichester College Group via email at Sue.Banger@chichester.ac.uk
The University of Chichester welcomes applicants from BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic) backgrounds as they are currently under-represented at this level.
Interview Date: Monday 11 February 2019 - likely to be in Crawley.
