Working in the heart of Bristol for one of the larger regional offices of this top 10 firm - comprising of over 190 staff and 35 partners and directors - you'll be joining in an Assistant Manager role that's responsible for a hugely varied client base.

About You

• You will have a good knowledge of general VAT areas (VAT specialists will also be considered)
• Proven experience in VAT advisory
• Hold or studying towards a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CTA, or IIT is desirable)

This is a diverse role and you'll be working closely with Partners on assignments, thus maintaining a visible position across the firm. On the other hand, you will enjoy a strong degree of autonomy and be able to have the freedom to significantly expand your experience with complex cases across a range of clients.

About the Role:

• Responsible for a client portfolio and advising them on areas of VAT planning, disputes with HMRC, and general VAT matters
• Work collaboratively with VAT Partner on projects and assignments
• Involved in various business development initiatives
• Developing and maintaining a strong technical knowledge across all areas of VAT
• Involved in internal and external training, including contributing to technical talks for VAT group seminars and meetings
• Strong degree of decision making authority
