Full Time - 37.5 hours per week



The post holder will be responsible for the day to day supervision and vocational support of adults with a learning disability in the Wood department. The post holder will be responsible to the Wood department Senior and will liaise with the senior, other craft departments and the shop in the development of appropriate project work. This is a flexible role and will also include the support and direction of the volunteers within the department.

The recycled wood workshop provides training and learning opportunities through its commercial activities. The post holder will support this training and development including participation in the Centre's reporting and tracking schemes (e.g. iplanit).

A positive and practical attitude towards care in the community must be shown. The post holder should have very good team working and communication skills, excellent practical experience from within the industry or education, and the ability to design and develop attractive products from recycled wood, to be made by the people we support and of sufficient quality to be sold in our Country Centre Shop and beyond.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week based on working 5 days from 7 (dependent on rotas),
including some weekend and public holidays
