About the Role

Higher Education (HE) Champion and Careers Mentor

Swale Pay Scale: Band 5 point 16 £18,895 pro-rata (dependant on qualifications)

Monday to Friday 20 hours per week / term-time. (The Academy is prepared to be flexible about the timings of these hours )

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic person, to provide impartial careers and education advice to our students and parents and ensure a successful and smooth transition from KS4 to KS5, widening participation at higher education, especially for underrepresented groups. The role also involves providing a range of administrative support. The successful candidate should have excellent communication, administrative and organisational skills, with a sound knowledge of Microsoft applications.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System. All staff will be expected to hold or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau).
