Chalkhill is an in-patient and day-attender, mixed-gender unit psychiatric unit which offers clinical intervention and education to young people aged 5-18years. We aim to deliver high quality education to enable our pupils to achieve their maximum potential. We are looking for an excellent teaching assistant with a strong and motivating personality to cover this vital and exciting post. The successful applicant will assist the teaching staff in the planning, delivery and evaluation of a broad and balanced curriculum, ensuring that all pupils can achieve to their maximum potential. It is an exciting opportunity to work and help develop educational programmes in a complex and vibrant environment. You will need to have some experience of working with young people who may exhibit challenging behaviour; and ideally you will have experience in working with young people with special educational needs. The unit is committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of young people and the post is subject to an enhanced CRB check. The post is within the Out of School Learning Team.
