About the Role

East Sussex Registration aspires to provide 'world class' registrations and ceremonies.

We are looking for a professional, self motivated, competent individual to join us to provide financial, performance and business support to the Strategic Management Team in order for them to be able to make more informed decisions about the future direction of the service.

As a substantial income-generating service there is a great deal of expectation on the Registration Service to ensure it achieves its financial targets, whilst all the time providing the best possible levels of customer service to a large and diverse range of customers.

For the last 4 financial years East Sussex Registration has managed to surpass its very stretching income targets whilst consistently maintaining a customer feedback profile of well over 99% of customers stating they were either 'Very Satisfied' or 'Satisfied' with their experience. However, every year we have to make more money and provide an even better level of service as customer's expectations continually rise. We cannot rest on our laurels - we need to ensure we get better and better at what we do.

This role is about doing just that. The service is led by a Strategic Management Team (SMT) and this position reports directly into the Team Manager. The successful candidate will be tasked with a number of key roles which will help to inform the SMT about the current situation within the service and enable them to make informed decisions for the future. This will include the preparation of management information, monitoring spend and income budgets, analysing trends, monitoring performance and KPIs, overseeing the SAP activities for the service, overseeing procurement activities and the staff budget, and attending management team meetings to provide real-time updates on the service's performance and outturn.

Additional Information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
