We have a variety of permanent full time positions, in Adult Social care teams, available in various locations across the Northern area of West Sussex.
Based in Horsham locality office / Proactive care across the Northern area.
37 hours per week

This position is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check (formerly Criminal Records Bureau check) Exciting opportunities have arisen for a Senior/Social Worker to join one of the following teams:

Mid-Sussex North and South Teams - based in Horsham.
Pro-Active Care Teams - based across the Northern area.

The positions are available on a full time basis and working hours and length of contract will be discussed at the interview as the roles vary.

We are investing in our Adults’ Social Care Services to support our priorities and in keeping with our responsibilities under the Care Act (2014). We are also entering into an exciting period of Transformation, which will require staff to be flexible and willing to embrace new ways of working with customers. The successful candidate will work closely with partner organisations such as Health and third sector, ensuring customers are linked into their communities whilst maximising their assets.

To help us develop and grow our service, we are looking to recruit motivated and experienced individuals to these Social Work posts.

As a qualified Social worker, registered with HCPC, you will need strong interpersonal and organisational skills. You will need to travel independently across the county to meet with individuals and carers to assess needs, formulate outcomes and undertake reviews using a person-centred approach designed to provide meaningful choice and promote wellbeing. You must be able to work autonomously, prioritise your work and respond flexibly to competing demands.

An excellent working knowledge of legislation and current policies is required. Social workers in these teams are required to undertake various duties to include; assessments under the Care Act 2014, mental capacity assessments, reviews of funded care and safeguarding work.
