About the Role

With two-thirds of our county designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty, we recognise how important it is to provide suitable public rights of way. Joining our dedicated team, you’ll be a key part of this.

The Rights of Way and Countryside Team is looking for a Definitive Map Officer. It is a key role within the wider team, which contributes significantly towards the management of 2,000 miles of public rights of way in East Sussex.

Experience of rights of way work and an understanding of definitive map processes is essential.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.

From 6 April 2011 the Home Office has placed a permanent restriction on the number of migrant workers that all Tier 2 (General) Sponsors can recruit.
