The Rowans Day Centre is a specialist centre for Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). It provides services to people with physical, sensory or memory impairment. At the heart of the Rowans Day Centre is the Rowans Accessible Gym. Machines have been designed for the use of customers with disabilities. This is open to all Residents via a GP and/or any medical referral.

Majority of the clients have/had experience of:

•Stroke
•Weight Management Issues
•Road Accidents
•Other Accidents Physical Disabilities
•Learning Disabilities
•MS
•High Blood Pressure Mental Health
•Post Surgeries
•etc

The Day Centre is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager. In this role you will work hand in hand with the Centre Manager in the management of the day centre, the gym, and all the other services provided on the premises. You should have working knowledge of Acquired Brain Injuries, of making Safeguarding personal, of person centred planning, of the principals of Preventative Agenda and above all “hands on approach” to working with the client group. You will also have good knowledge of the local community, available facilities/resources and a caring attitude towards all client groups (Day centre, gym, carers, children’s clients etc).

You will also have a sound knowledge of rota planning, staff (co-)management and development.
