We are looking to recruit a Practice Manager to our dynamic and forward thinking team.

There’s a real momentum at West Sussex County Council. We’re focused on creating more positive outcomes for children and their families and we have the optimism and enthusiasm to achieve it. We’ve already redesigned our service, transforming both our systems and the way we work. We’ve been inspired as one of only ten authorities involved in the Signs of Safety England Innovations Project.

We are looking to appoint an experienced and dynamic Practice Manager to our forward thinking Special Guardianship Assessment Team.  You would manage and supervise a team of 6 social workers who write Regulation 24 assessments for the Fostering Panel and SGO assessments for Court. You will need good supervisory skills and have the ability to make good practice decisions in a timely manner.  You will need to have an understanding of what a good assessment looks like.  You will be responsible for the development of skills and experience in your team.   

For this role you must be HCPC registered, hold a social work qualification and have use of a car as this is a county wide team
