Worthing Churches Homeless Projects is currently recruiting for a passionate, enthusiastic Senior Community Fundraiser to join an exciting local charity based in Worthing but working across locations in West Sussex. 

You will play a key role in managing community fundraising across the region with a specific focus on securing support from the communities in which we work including managing friends groups and maximising support from local community groups.  You will be responsible for managing and implementing the community fundraising strategy to achieve agreed objectives.

You will be joining an established, friendly fundraising team and will be responsible for organising fundraising events / activities in the area and developing the charity's supporter base. You will also be able to drive your innovative ideas forward by engaging with local schools, churches and other community organisations.  As Senior Community Fundraiser you will be responsible for working towards personal income targets as well as maintaining high quality fundraising by keeping yourself updated with developments in the wider sector. You will supervise the two Community Fundraisers and the Community Fundraising Assistant, working as a team to increase our income, awareness of the charity and issues faced by homeless men and women in the communities in which we work.

Previous community fundraising experience is essential and you must be a car driver. Worthing Churches Homeless Projects provides emergency and other accommodation, advice and assistance. A rapidly evolving organisation, the charity is central to the delivery of Recovery, Mental Health and Housing services throughout the Worthing/Adur area.

Over the last 4 years WCHP has grown its services from £1.5m annual turnover to £2.4m. It has developed services into the surrounding areas to Worthing as well strengthening its core provision.   It has obtained capital funding to build 6 studio flats on its Short Term Assessment Hostel, create new Recovery Houses and move on housing.

Across Worthing we have three residential projects and a day centre.  We have retail shops in Worthing, Shoreham and Littlehampton.  We are currently expanding services to the Littlehampton and Horsham areas.
