We are currently seeking to recruit an Information Assistant within the Library Services Department. The post holder will be required to work part time on a Wednesday to Friday each week (18.5 hours).
The post holder will be required to provide a support service for all Learning Resource Centre (LRC) users, including information, advice and instruction. You will also be required to undertake essential administrative library functions including book acquisitions, mostly through the full operation of the library management system.
You will need to possess well developed verbal/written communication skills and interpersonal skills, and you must be able to demonstrate confidence in dealing with a wide range of tasks, and students and staff. Experience and general knowledge of using Microsoft Office Systems is essential. Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate effective time management and organisation and administrative skills, together with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
