You will be a qualified Social Worker with a minimum of three years post qualifying experience of working in the field of adoption, either as an adoption social worker or as a children's social worker. You will be experienced in the assessment of families; confident in evidence based working, and with the ability to draw upon a wide range of professional knowledge to ensure that we are recruiting from as wide a pool of potential adopters as possible. You will bring experience of working with a diversity of family models, cultures and identities and will be a practitioner who remains open to learning and personal and professional development. You will be a practitioner who values supervision and consultation as part of a wider team; committed to reflective practice. You will undertake the full range of adoption social work, from contributing to recruitment, assessing adopters, supervising and supporting them through the placement process, providing adoption support. You will actively family find for children including contributing to the court processes leading to Placement Orders and Adoption Orders.
