About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to actively drive a new piece of work. This new Project Manager (Funding and Development) post will lead on the development of a new approach to funding which aims to maximise inward funding investment into East Sussex.

The ‘External Funding Strategic Plan’ is a programme of work supported by the Community Resilience work stream and wider East Sussex Better Together and Connecting 4 You transformation programmes. It is expected that the approach will result in a new external funding framework based upon a structured ‘project pipeline’ approach.

The post holder will lead on the development and implementation of the approach across partners (Adult Social Care and Health, voluntary and community sector partners and others). This  will involve  co-designing collaborative ways of working which make the most of each partners strengths and working closely with partners to establish shared priorities for external funding, identifying potential funding opportunities

The project will develop and embed ways of measuring the success of the approach (e.g.  monitoring, evaluation) and reporting arrangements. The focus will be to support the maximisation of  inward investment into East Sussex, to deliver health and wellbeing objectives.

We are hoping to recruit an individual with proven experience of managing projects, project reporting activity and the ability to work well with internal and external stakeholders partners from the community sector, at a strategic and practitioner level.

The post is for 12 months to deliver the Project and will be based within the ASC Policy and Strategic Development Team at County Hall Lewes.

Additional Information

This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau). Please note that we require evidence of an overseas police check if you have lived or worked abroad.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.

Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
