About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Safety Inspecting Officer to join East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service on a full time, permanent basis.

All Inspecting Officers are integral in continuing the Service’s efforts in providing an outstanding Service Delivery function. The successful applicant will be responsible for undertaking a full range of Business Safety activities in accordance with Protection policy and guidelines and the preparation of reports and appropriate documentation related to Fire Safety Inspections and to supervise workloads within allocated areas of responsibility.

We welcome applications from those with relevant fire safety or enforcement experience gained in the Fire and Rescue Service or local authority or equivalent. This position may be considered for a job share.

Good verbal and written communication skills together with commitment to continuous professional development are essential to the role, as the post holder will be required to communicate with colleagues from other disciplines.

Additional Information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
