The successful applicant may:
have experience and training working as a Learning Mentor in a busy primary school setting
have worked extensively in classrooms and have an understanding, appreciation and knowledge of primary education and quality first teaching
have experience interacting with and meeting with parents and carers on a daily basis to problem-solve, listen and provide mechanisms of support
have exemplary record keeping skills and be able to report to, manage and lead meetings when required
have the ability to identify potential barriers to learning and to work extremely well with other school staff to engage in strategies to overcome these barriers
have an exemplary knowledge and understanding of safe-guarding in a school setting and have relevant training
have experience supporting and working in a nurture class to support vulnerable children
have the ability to report to the Senior Leadership Team as and when required
work collaboratively in a supportive, professional team to deliver high quality education and care
Minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with / supporting families and /or children.
