As a core member of the public transport team you will help plan, maintain, promote and develop the local public transport network. Working on high profile projects such as Smart Ticketing and the city’s supported bus network this is an important role. In addition to the technical transport planning aspect of the role, you will need to work closely with our key partner organisations including local bus and train operators, local communities and a variety of teams from across the City Council. Good communication skills, both speaking and in writing, and experience of stakeholder engagement at senior levels are therefore important attributes. The role makes an important contribution to the work of our busy Transport Department so an ability to work within a team environment is essential as is experience of budget and contract management.
