The short breaks that the service supports may be regular planned respite to support family carers or responding to an unplanned emergency. The service users may also have mental health needs, autism and complex needs.

The service is registered with the Care Quality Commission and can support a maximum of 14 people at one time.

This is an exciting and challenging post and the successful candidate will need to demonstrate that they have substantial experience and an understanding of the management of staff, have good assessment skills and clear written and verbal communication skills. They will be required to work closely with the Community Learning Disability team and family carers. The successful candidate will need to have substantial experience working within learning disability services and hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care - The Registered Managers Pathway (Previously NVQ4/RMA Award). They will also be required to undertake an interview with the Care Quality Commission to become the registered manager. Training and supervision will be provided to support you in this role.
