We currently have two vacancies within Adults Social Care for two Senior Social Work Practitioners to join our existing Community Teams - one within Worthing Community Team and one within Littlehampton Community Team, both based at Centenary House in Worthing.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a busy Community Team providing a service to adults 18 upwards. A key part of your role will be to support and deputise for the Team Manager in terms of day to day management of the team and also in terms of developing the team and moving into the future. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small complex caseload. You will need to be able to work autonomously and flexibly including some working out of normal office hours. Those interested in applying for the post will already be working at Senior Social Work level or higher and bring these skills and experience to the role. You need to have a good working knowledge of the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act and be experienced in Safeguarding work.

Adults’ Services in West Sussex County Council are currently working towards implementing a new operating model and the successful candidate will have a key role in supporting the team through this change.
