System User Support Analyst 21,268 to 23,398 per annum Temporary 24 months Full time (4 posts) Based in Chichester 37 hours per week Interview date: 24 July 2017

This is a key role in the Adults' and Children's Systems User Support desk operation providing systems support for some of the IT systems within the Adults' and Children’s directorates. This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of a dynamic fast moving team supporting social care and education systems. The post holder will provide first line support for incidents and requests for assistance from the business. They will take a lead role in resolving calls/emails and be responsible for working with 2nd line requests and 3rd line support to bring forward 'call resolutions' into the desk and resolve them in a timely and appropriate manner. This challenging role will require the post holder to demonstrate excellent customer handling and communication while contributing to the timely resolution of system issues, in an appropriate manner. Plus the ability to interpret complex information and use analytical skills in order to attempt a technical fix to the customer’s incident where appropriate. The post holder will use diagnostic and resolution skills to answer customers' enquiries or to pass them on immediately to the appropriate section for action. Post holders are expected to promote a positive image for the service with its users and cultivate good customer relationships, explaining complex system information to a wide range of audiences in a clear and helpful manner. The successful candidate will need to be a quick learner, have excellent customer service skills, knowledge of social care and/or education systems in West Sussex and sound and accurate IT skills. We have a full induction programme in place.
