Heavy Vehicle Technician's service and repair fire appliances, all the associated plant le. generators, ladders and fans, and the service have a fleet of light vehicles. Technicians are trained in all areas of heavy vehicle mechanics and electronics, from engine and exhaust systems to air conditioning and security features. The duties of a heavy vehicle technician may include: Servicing vehicles - carrying out checks and maintenance according to the manufacturer's guidelines Repairing and replacing faulty parts and components You will learn all about servicing, Inspections, fault finding, diagnostic work and the removal, repair and replacement of components.
