We need a skilled and media savvy press officer to help us develop the work we do with our local news organisations. We need someone who can build excellent relationships with local journalists, understand and explain complicated stories from every area of West Sussex County Council and get them into the media.
The right person will have a solid understanding of the local news agenda, experience and knowledge of working in a political environment and an ability to find the human stories beneath the surface of the Council.
You must be able to write well and for a variety of communications channels including social media and digital channels.
