The successful candidate will have: - previous experience of cooking preferable within a care setting - an understanding of the need to provide varied, nutritious, high quality and appetising meals for service suers as part of the care they receive from the service - knowledge and experience of working in a professional kitchen ensuring standards of food hygiene / infection control are maintained - willingness to direct Kitchen Assistants in the absence of the kitchen supervisor - a flexible and resourceful approach to work situations - an interest in their own professional development and motivation to undertake training - a willingness to support trainees / apprentices in their development In return you will receive support, guidance and access to training. The role includes working within a fixed 2 week rota that includes alternate weekends, some bank holidays and occasional evenings between the hours of 07:30am - 7:00pm
