We are seeking a Senior Social Work Practitioner to come and work with us on a part time basis. We are a busy and diverse team working in a busy and diverse area. Crawley faces challenges unique to our geographic and demographic place within the County. We work alongside a multi-cultural community; we face particular issues of homelessness, substance misuse, and self-neglect alongside what could be viewed as ‘business as usual’ in Locality Teams. We are based close to the centre of Crawley in the Library building. We work regularly with people who lack mental capacity in one or more specific areas and work alongside colleagues in the Deprivation of Liberties team, with colleagues in Health and also the Borough Council. Crawley has been chosen as an Innovation Site aiming to develop ways of MDT working and the prevention agenda. We are looking for someone to work with us in delivering a statutory social work service to those people who access or need the service to include assessment, planning, implementing and review. The role is also responsible for leading on a complex and challenging portfolio of casework and providing supervision, expertise and guidance on casework to colleagues. The postholder is expected to work within relevant organisational, policy and legislative requirements.
