Part of Advanced Energy, HiTek Power is an experienced specialist in the design and manufacture of High Voltage Power Supplies, providing both standard and custom-built HV power supply units and systems for a diverse range of industrial applications.

Due to a period of substantial growth, we are looking for experienced material operators to join our team in Littlehampton.

As a Material handler your role will be to move, locate, pull, and count inventory in a variety of locations and perform all necessary software transactions. You will ensure accurate inventory and material processes are followed whilst attending to the material requests from production or other teams. You'll never be bored as although duties and tasks are standardized each day will be different!

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

You'll be responsible for the physical and administrative tasks involved in the storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Distribution may include the driving of a company truck to transport materials.

You'll also...

  • Examine, stocks, and kits materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
  • Prepare kitting packages for assembly production, service repair, and sales orders.
  • Perform daily cycle counts, post inventory counts as applicable, and help resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure the security and accountability of materials and goods with inventory control.
  • Communicate issues appropriately to Planners, Buyers, etc.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Ideally previously worked in a storeroom, warehousing, or other material handling position.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Outlook, and Excel and be quick to pick up any new applications.
  • You'll also have experience transporting material via truck desired, along with a clean driving license.

Combined with :

  • The ability to respond quickly and professionally to changing requirements.
  • Excellent communications skills, verbal and written.
  • The ability to accurately count and maintain inventory.
  • Experience in working in a small, busy team with excellent customer service skills. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices.
