We are a family run business that supplies a range of promotional merchandise. Due to expansion we are opening a new depot in Horsham and are looking for a Warehouse Operative where you will be working as part of a small and friendly team.

The following attributes required for this role are:

• Computer literate to a basic level
• Happy to use your own initiative helping with all general warehouse duties
• Physically fit, as you will be lifting boxes and unpacking the van
• Have attention to detail (for example when checking inbound deliveries from our suppliers contain exactly what we have ordered)
• Flexible with your hours as you will be required to work the occasional weekend
• Hold a driving license (on occasion you will be driving a transit van)
• Reliable and conscientious team member
• Aware of good customer service skills

The job involves:

• Picking, packing and dispatching merchandise in a timely manner
• Checking merchandise entering the warehouse and maintaining excellent quality control whilst doing so
• Cross checking supplier confirmations against our purchase orders carefully
• Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy ensuring it is a safe environment to work in
• Using an electric walking fork lift (training will be given)
• Occasionally drive a van
• Twice a year you will be required to help set up an exhibition stand

For the right person, the role can be expanded upon over time as our policy is to promote from within. You will be in regular contact with colleagues at head office by telephone and email which will give you a good understanding of the merchandise in the warehouse and enable you to ask for help should you need it. Any previous experience in the promotional merchandise industry would be of interest but not essential.
