Job Context:

The Assembly and Quality Control manager will report to the Operations & IT Director and will be recognised as having a strong background in their field with knowledge of best practice in both areas.

Job Summary:

To direct and co-ordinate assembly & quality control activities across all sites whilst proactively seeking out process improvements to drive efficiency and cost downs. The role involves working closely with the warehouse management and goods in teams to facilitate the growth plans.

Job Content:

• Developing and managing the process to ensure that any assembly is done quickly, efficiently and in accordance with client deadlines.
• Management and prioritisation of activity to meet client expectation and deadlines.
• Establishing and communicating individual and team targets for hourly, daily and weekly re-work for each activity. Monitor and review those targets and take remedial action where necessary.
• Regular liaison with customer account manager.
• Managing assembly goods receipt and handover process
• Setting quality standards for each activity and ensure that quality
• Assisting all areas of the operation with continuous Improvement of processes to enhance service and efficiency

Selection Criteria

• Previous managerial experience gained in a fast paced pressurised environment
• An understanding of process mapping and lean six sigma
• An understanding of KPIs with the ability to deliver strong results through a team.
• A knowledge of warehouse systems
• Strong Leadership and management skills to engage and motivate teams.
• An ability to effectively manage productivity and performance
• Excellent organisational skills
• Be able to keep your operation safe, by developing and maintaining a strong culture of health and safety.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build effective relationships across all levels
• Ability to develop quality control procedures and train other to ensure complied with
