About the Role

Wivelsfield School is looking for a caretaker to join our happy and dedicated team. The school is situated in the heart of the village, near both Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill and benefits from spacious modern premises and extensive grounds.

We need someone who will  take a real pride in ensuring the school building is spotlessly clean, is maintained to a high standard, and will take pride in ensuring our lovely outside areas are well cared for.

The job includes responsibility for: - Site Security - General maintenance and  repairs such as basic plumbing, carpentry, glazing and decorating - Regular fire, water and alarm tests - Some cleaning - Some gardening

You would also need to be prepared to assist with traffic control at busy times of the day and  be prepared to open and lock the school for occasional out of hours lettings.

If this sort of work appeals to you and you are reliable and  flexible; can get on with adults and children alike and  are a good team worker, as well as being  able to work using your own initiative, this could be the job for you.   We can offer you training for this role and a supportive team.
